Obituary of Floris Norrad

The passing of Floris Drusilla Norrad, wife of the late Lancey Norrad, occurred on September 21, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 3, 1938 in Holtville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Mary (Davis) Munn. Floris was a charter member of the Upper Miramichi Lioness Club, member of the Upper Miramichi Lions Club and a past member of the Bloomfield Ridge Women’s Institute. She was a very active member of her community. Floris is survived by her children, Wayne Norrad (Jeanne) of Bloomfield Ridge, NB, Janice Kinney (Wayne) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB and Samantha Hunter of Fredericton, NB; her brothers, Stafford Munn (Marilyn) of Boiestown, NB and Lori Munn of Parkers Ridge, NB; her grandchildren, Paula Bull, Lacey Kinney, Joanna Landry, Katherine Norrad, Steed Norrad, Zoë Hunter and Jasmine Hunter; great grandchildren, Taylor Campbell, Timothy Campbell, Kristin Campbell, Cloey Kinney, Teagan Thomas, Ada Landry and Madison Landry; step grandchildren, Sylvia Kinney and Serena Cahill; step great grandchildren, Kailey Cahill, Kyley Cahill, Andrea Cahill and Kyle Davenport, along with several nieces and nephews; special friend Danny Lawson. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sisters, Janice Munn, Nellie Lyons and Glendeen Reid; brothers, Preston, Gordon, Arthur and Winston Munn. Visitation will take place at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home’s Chapel on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 1 pm with Pastor David Williston officiating. Interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Upper Miramichi Lions Club.
