Obituary of Andrew Munn

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Andrew “Andy” William Munn, husband of 32 years to Norma Munn, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Andrew was the son of Evelyn (Lovelace) and the late Weldon Munn. Besides his wife and mother, Andy is survived by his sons, Lockie (Staci) of Gagetown, NB and Greg (Jenna) of Hanwell, NB; his sisters, Barbara (Paul) Peterson of Fredericton, NB and Susan (Gordon) Watson of Holtville, NB; his brothers, David ( Queenie) Munn of Doaktown, NB and Ronald Munn of Fredericton, NB; father and mother in law, Melvin and Lorna Munn of Porter Cove, NB; sister in law, Audrey (Oran) Furlong of Boiestown, NB; brothers in law, Gary (Elizabeth) Munn of Marysville, NB, Manny (Susan) Munn and Alfred (Judy) Munn, all of Porter Cove, NB, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his Father, Andy was predeceased by his infant sister, Iris Greta Munn. After many years, Andy retired from his carpentry trade. He loved hunting and fishing with friends. He also enjoyed driving around Porter Cove where he was referred to as “The Mayor” while visiting with friends and neighbours. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at the Miramichi’s First Pentecostal Church in Holtville, NB. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 2 pm with Pastor Landon Decker officiating, assisted by Pastor Allison Cromwell and Pastor Kevin Howe. Interment will take place at the Cameron Hill Cemetery. The Family would like to thank Dr. T Wood, Dr. C Schaus and all of the doctors and nurses of the ER and ICU at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. The compassion and concern shown to us during this very difficult time is greatly appreciated. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
