Obituary of Marilyn Williams

Marilyn Williams has departed her Douglas home to take up residence in her heavenly mansion. She is now enjoying the sunshine, flowers, and everything in heaven. She is presently enjoying seeing those who went before her; her grandparents Clowes and Alice Hallett, and Guy and Louise Hawkins, her parents Richard and Elsie Hallett, and her brother Rick (Shirley Levitt). She has long been looking forward to having tea with her beloved grandmother. She is now looking forward to the day when she hopes she will be joined by her husband Watson, daughters Lisa (Todd Lowther), Melody (Dan Grove) and Joy, grandchildren Joshua, Caleb, Samuel, and Anna, her brother Ron (Bonita Cummings), her gardening buddy Tracy Wilmot, and you. Marilyn was linguistic contributor in the translation of 2/3 of the New Testament into the Miq'maq language. She was an avid gardener, and also loved sewing clothes and watercolor painting. She was a regular attender of her husband's church, Staples Settlement Baptist Church. Her ready smile will be missed. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at the Chalmers Palliative Care Unit for the care they gave Marilyn. At the family's request, Marilyn's Homegoing Celebration will be held at Douglas Baptist Church on Saturday August 30, 2014 at 11 am with Rev. Peter Moore officiating. Fellowship time will follow in the church gymnasium. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Bible Society, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
