Obituary of Frank McAleer

The passing of Frank Patrick “Jim” McAleer, husband to Penny McAleer of New Bandon, NB occurred on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in New Bandon, NB on March 25, 1950, he was a son of the late Vincent and Laura (Muck) McAleer. Jim was a woods worker and avid horseman. He enjoyed horse pulling, wagon trains and lumberjack competitions. He was a member of the McNamee Pentecostal Assembly. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Chris Hunter) McAleer of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Brady and Karlee; sisters, Alfreda (Arvil) Storey of Doaktown, NB, Merva (Dick) O’Donnell of Williamsburg, NB, Marlene Borden of Fredericton, NB, Carol (Sterling) Clowater of New Bandon, NB, Grace (Wayne) Beek of Doaktown, NB; brothers, Johnny McAleer of Ohio, USA, Purney (Brenda) McAleer of Oak Point, NB; father and mother-in-law, Ivan and Elva Clowater; sister-in-law, Jane (Jerry) Calhoun; brothers-in-law, Duane (Lorna) Clowater, Ricky (Marie) Clowater; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his son, Adam Clowater; infant brother, Charles; nephew, Derek Storey and Steven McAleer; great nephew, Shaun Hovey and brother-in-law, George Borden. Visitation will take place at McNamee Pentecostal Assembly on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from McNamee Pentecostal Assembly on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11 am with Rev. Allison Cromwell officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Carroll’s Crossing, NB. The family would like to thank Dr. Heman Chow, the doctors, nurses and staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, ICU and Oncology Department.
