Obituary of Stacy MacInnis
The passing of Stacy Everett MacInnis of Maugerville, NB, occurred on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 25, 1949, he was the son of the late Obadiah and Leona (Corkum) MacInnis. Stacy worked as an Auto Body Technician at Dana’s Collision Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Montreal Canadiens Fan.
Stacy is survived by his daughters, Barb MacInnis of Maugerville, NB and Bobbie Labrador of Annapolis Valley, NS; son, Brian MacInnis (Katherine Burke) of Pleasant Villa, NB; grandchildren, Jackson, Ocean, Kaden and Camryn; sisters, Muriel Barkhouse (Donald), Freda Hill (Donald), Ruby Benjamin (Eddy), Mary Barkhouse (Murray), Arlene Corkum (David), Donna MacInnis all of NS and Daisy Morgan, of AB; brothers, Austin MacInnis (Theresa), Gerald MacInnis (Linda), Howard MacInnis (Christina), Arnold MacInnis, John Macinnis (Darlene), Charles MacInnis (Linda) and David MacInnis (Peggy) all of NS; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Stacy was predeceased by his daughter, Heather MacInnis; sister, Sylvia MacInnis and brother, Arthur MacInnis.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB, on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11 am with Rev. Chad Billington officiating. Interment will take place in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
