Obituary of Marjorie Curtis

The passing of Marjorie Jessie (Saunders) Curtis, wife of Irvine Curtis of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 3, 1935 in Prince William, NB, she was the daughter of the late Earle and Edna (Clayden) Saunders. Marjorie was a homemaker and was a member of the Devon Park Baptist Church, where she was very active in Church activities and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, Marjorie is survived by her sons, Kim (Diane) Curtis of Fredericton, NB, Kevin (Eleanor) Curtis of Douglas, NB, Kent (Karen) Curtis of Riverview, NB; grandchildren, Ben, Dan and Sarah, Josh and Ryan (Stephanie), Jacob, Rebecca and Kayla; brothers, Gordon (Bertha) Saunders of Fredericton, NB, Leonard (Yvette) Saunders of Moncton, NB; sister, Marion Little of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Maxine Saunders of Prince William, NB and Myfanwy Saunders of Pekin, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her brothers, John Saunders and Paul Saunders; sister-in-law, Arlene Saunders and brother-in-law, Burns Little. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Devon Park Baptist Church on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 2 pm with Pastor Lawrence Meade officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Devon Park Baptist Church or the Gideon Bibles would be greatly appreciated.
