Obituary of Winnifred Hovey

The passing of Winnifred Inez Hovey of Nasonworth, NB, wife of the late Oscar Hovey, occurred on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 29, 1923 in Williamsburg, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Phyllis (Turnbull) Clarkson. Winnifred is survived by daughter, Donna Ward (Gerald) of New Holland, PA; sons, Ronnie Hovey (Patricia) of Beaverdam, NB, Dale Hovey (Shirley) of Prince George, BC, Blair Hovey (Cathy) of Nasonworth, NB and Robert “Bobby” Hovey (Bonnie) of Fort St. John, BC; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sisters, Barbara Spencer of Fredericton, NB, Mary Sauve (Bill) of Fredericton, NB and Annette Larlee (Danny) of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Wilson “Dud” Clarkson (Ardelle) of Stanley, NB, York Clarkson of British Columbia, Vernon “Jack” Clarkson (Janine) of Ontario and Arthur Murray (Ann) of Alberta; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Theresa Doiron. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Jerry; sisters, Doris, Vesta and Roxy Darlene; brothers, Winston and David “Davey”. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Roger Mitchell officiating. Interment will take place in Ludlow Baptist Cemetery.
