Obituary of Glenna Spencer

The passing of Glenna Annie (Nason) Spencer, wife of the late Russell Spencer, formerly of Parker Ridge, NB occurred on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home in Boiestown, NB. Born in Tracy, NB on October 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Wilmond and Annie (Cowie) Nason. Glenna is survived by her daughters, Rowena Rumble (Art) of Fredericton, NB, Lynn Nicholls of Fredericton, NB; sons, Morton Spencer (Susan) of Parker Ridge, NB, Melvin Spencer (Donna) of Fredericton, NB, Gordon Spencer (Judy) of Parker Ridge, NB, Clifford Spencer (Brenda) of Boiestown, NB; daughter-in-law, Sharon Spencer of Chipman, NB; son-in-law, Harold Savoie of Fredericton, NB; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Renna Harris (Donald) of Harvey, NB, Jessie Luke (Francis) of Pennsylvania; brother, Barry Nason (Noreen) of Boiestown, NB; sister-in-law, Jean Nason of Tracy, NB; brother-in-law, Fred Phillips of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Glenna was predeceased by her daughter, Darlene Savoie; son Wayne Spencer; sisters, Vera Phillips, Beatrice Calhoun and Alta Jones; half-sister, Faye Nason; brother, Floyd Nason; and son-in-law, Bill Nicholls. Visitation will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly, Boiestown, NB on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 3 to 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Gateway of Hope Assembly on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Wade Bradford officiating. Pallbearers are Wesley, Jason, Bradley and Sheldon Spencer, Jonathan Savoie, Chris Hunter, Kent Jewett and Dana Rumble. Honorary Pallbearers are Krista Burns, Tanya Murray, Prudence Spencer, Terri Hunter and Lisa Rumble. Interment is in Parker Ridge Cemetery.
