Obituary of Myrtle Randall
The family of Myrtle Helena Randall is saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Myrtle was the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Coy) McCoombs. She was born in Burtts Corner on April 13, 1918. Myrtle Helena was the wife of the late Earle Randall (September 26, 1991). She was also predeceased by her eldest son, Chesley and brothers, Irvine (Joyce) and Gerald McCoombs.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter in law, Jean (late Chesley) and their sons, Jim (Vickie) and Glen (Nancy) and their children all of Ottawa; her daughter, Sharon (late Joe Ruet) and their son, Lucien of Moncton and daughter, Karen of Fredericton; son, William (Bud) his wife, Judith and their children, Lenore (Lance) McLean of CT, Aaron (Anna) Randall of Keswick and Luke Randall of Fredericton; son, Peter (Andrea) and their children, Jeremy of Moncton, Andrew of Fredericton, Ashley (Lacey) of Cambridge, Sarah (Steven) Cook and children of Fredericton; and just like a son, David (Ethel) Morgan of Florenceville; also survived by many nieces and nephews and thirteen great grandchildren.
In her childhood and youth she enjoyed many happy days with her grandmother, Mrytle Coy for whom she was named and her aunt, Dorothy Coy. She was a graduate of FHS and a career homemaker, at which she excelled. She was a member of the Brunswick Street Baptist Church and later the Marysville Baptist Church; she was also one of the founding members of Marysville Ladies Morning Out Group. A Lifetime Member of the W.M.S., choir member and enjoyed participating in many other church activities. She was also a Life Member of the Woman’s Institute, and participated in the Gladiola Society, where she and Earle won many prizes. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, baking, and many crafts. She also enjoyed driving, either as the driver or passenger. In recent years, she entertained family, friends and caregivers, with interesting stories of her childhood and young adult life. Ninety-six years of life, well spent and an example to all. The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care given to Myrtle by Wendy Jewett, Bernice Allison, Elizabeth Tait, Judy Jones, Dianne Brewer and her hairdresser, Wanda Merrill. Thank You so much ladies for making our load lighter.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Laurie Fenerty and Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment will take place in Marysville Baptist Cemetery.
