Obituary of Winston Morehouse

The passing of Winston Irvine Churchill Morehouse, husband of Judy (Price nee Lyons) Morehouse of Bloomfield Ridge, NB, occurred on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 9, 1940 in New Bandon, NB, he was the son of Winnifred (McAleer) Morehouse and the late Walter Morehouse. He was employed by Stelco Steel Hamilton, ON, until his retirement in 1998. Winston was a member of the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Doaktown, NB. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens Fan. Winston loved music, playing Bingo, traveling, fishing, hunting, hockey, baseball, golf and bowling; he also enjoyed picking blueberries. In addition to his wife and mother Winston is survived by his daughters, Darlene LeBlanc (Rick) of Vineland, ON and Sherry Morehouse (Jason Woodhouse) of Hamilton, ON; step-children, Kelly Moir (Peter) of Timmins, ON and Jerry Price (Julie Doiron) of Boiestown, NB; grandchildren, Kourtney and Benjamin Woodhouse; step grandchildren, Christopher and Chad Moir; step great grandchildren, Kayden, Hallie, Addison, Logan and Skye; brothers, Walter Jr. Morehouse (Donna) of Frankford, ON and Richard Morehouse (Carmen) of Burlington, ON; sister, Lorna Nagle of Ludlow, NB; several nieces and nephews; his special buddy, Ashley Brawn; his beloved Sheltie’s, Andy and Brandie. Besides his father Winston was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Pirie) Morehouse and brother-in-law Merlin Nagle. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home 7681, Route 8, New Bandon, NB, on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Doaktown, NB on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating. Interment will take place at the St Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Anglican Parish of Ludlow and Blissfield and the New Brunswick Lung Association.
