Please accept condolences, both on our own behalf and on behalf of other members of the farming community, and especially the National Farmers Union. Ethel was a role model for many farmers and especially for farm women. Her efforts to educate consumers about where their food comes from will not be forgotten. Our sincere sympathy to you all on the loss of this very special woman.

Auntie Ethel was truly an inspiration to me in so many ways throughout the years I knew her. In addition to the qualities, such as her work ethic, determination and love of life, mentioned in the Life Legacy, I admired Aunt Ethel's insight and compassion for those who are misunderstood and sometimes alienated. She would at times risk loss of personal status and being misunderstood herself to associate with such people and bring peace into tense situations. I will remember her as a courageous peace-maker as well as a confident and very capable lady. I thank God for the privilege of having known her!
