Obituary of Cassandra Paul-Elias
The passing of Cassandra “Sandy” Leigh Paul-Elias of Pepper Creek Estates, Fredericton, NB, wife of Mark Paul-Elias occurred on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was called home to the Lord whom she loved. Born on June 15, 1950 in Winter Haven, Florida, she was the daughter of Mary (Nance) Powell and the late Van Powell. She was a member of the Marysville Baptist Church. Sandy first and foremost was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother. She was an artist and talented landscaper as well as a business woman.
In addition to her mother and husband, Sandy is survived by her daughters, Marian Paul-Elias, Lisa McCullough (David); step son, Shaun Fellows (Alanya) and their children; sister, Dorothy "DJ" Henry (Bob); brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Elias (Marielle), Marthy Belliveau (Henry), Ronnie MacPherson (Doug), David Elias, Alfred Paul-Elias (Eleanor McLaughlin), Victor Paul-Elias (Debbie), Alice Giggal (Dick) and Ruth Paul; several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, Sandy was predeceased by her brother, Van Powell.
Visitation will take place at the York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at the Marysville Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Sherwood and Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
