Obituary of Edward Perley
The passing of Edward “Sonny” Willis Perley of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Anna Mae (Seymour) Perley occurred on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 17, 1937 in Devon, NB, he was the son of the late Ray and Grace (MacPherson) Perley. He was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church. Sonny retired as a Fire Fighter from the Nashwaaksis and Fredericton Fire Departments, having served for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Fredericton Model Railroad Club.
Sonny is survived by his daughters, Lori A. Perley of Keg River, AB and Shellee E. Janze (Gottfrid) of Quesnel, BC; sons, Bruce E. Perley of Fredericton, NB and Brian M. Perley (Jaime) of High Prairie, AB; special daughter, Krista Bonnar; grandchildren, Samuel, Zachary, Jenai and Josef, Matthew and Nolen, Drake and Hailey; great granddaughter, Ava; sister, Jackie Saunders (Ross) of Fredericton, NB; brother, Gerry Perley (Edith) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his infant brother, Allan Perley.
There will be an evening of Shared Memories and Refreshments at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 7-9 pm. A private graveside service will take place at Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
