Obituary of Burchill Jones

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Burchill Llewellyn Jones of Zealand, NB, husband of Betty (Crouse) Jones which occurred on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Burtts Corner, NB on June 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Durwood and Minnie (Brewer) Jones. He was formerly employed as a foreman at Maritime Engineering for 40 years as a carpenter. Following his retirement, he continued to be employed with Donnie Clark. Burchill will be greatly missed by his family and friends and will always be remembered for his ability to build or fix anything. He was a great lover of children and animals. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son in law, Stephanie and Wayne Foss; his special granddaughter, Julie Foss; brother, Flavine (Marina) Jones; sister in law, Brenda Crouse; nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Perry, Theodore, Arville, Merville and Sherwood. Although there will be no visitation or service by request; a graveside service will take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Zealand, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Building Fund or the Cemetery Fund.
