Obituary of Glenna Jones

Monday, March 17th, 2014 Glenna Leone Jones of Fredericton, NB found the peace and comfort of Jesus arms. Born on April 5, 1935 in Seal Cove, Grand Manan, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Scofield) Green. Glenna was a member of Seal Cove Wesleyan Church and attended Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed knitting for various causes including children, shelters and food banks. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Harvard; her children, Shelly Harris (David), Fredericton, NB, Stanley of Dipper Harbour, NB and Andrea Mavety (William) Kingston, ON. She had seven cherished grandchildren and six very precious great grandchildren; one sister, Leah Ingersoll of Grand Manan, NB; one brother, Stanley Green (Mary) of Grand Manan, NB; two sisters in law, Catherine Green of Fredericton, NB and Mary Jones of Grand Manan, NB; several nieces and nephews; one chosen daughter, Crystal Gardiner of Ottawa, ON; special cousin, Burton Green of Grand Manan, NB. Visitation will take place at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church on Thursday, March 20, 2014 for family from 1-2 pm and for public from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service with be held from the church on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 1 pm with Rev. A.J. Plaizier and Pastor Peter Thomas officiating. A private family burial will take place at Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
