Obituary of Ann Haines

It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Ann Yvonne Haines, who passed at her sister’s home in Fredericton, NB, Saturday, March 15, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. Born in Edmundston, February of 1956, she was the daughter of Rene and Joyce St- Pierre of Fredericton, NB. She married Michael Haines on August 4, 1979 and they were living in Calgary, AB, at the time of her illness. Also surviving are son, Eric (Amanda Hazlett) Haines of Keswick Ridge; daughter, Lyndsay (Josh Hansen) Haines of Calgary; two sisters, Susan (Jean-Pierre) Theriault of Edmundston and Denise J. St-Pierre of Fredericton; three brothers, Paul St-Pierre of Fredericton, Andrew (Debbie) St-Pierre of Halifax, and Richard (Heidi) St-Pierre of Fredericton; two grand-children, Hank and Douglas Haines; six nephews, Mathew and Christopher St-Pierre, Brandon Robinson, Shawn Carter, and Ethan and Sam St-Pierre; three nieces, Natalie (David Chassé) Theriault, Ashley Robinson, Kelly Carter; mother-in-law, Gloria Haines of Keswick Ridge; sister-in-law, Linda (Jim) Haines-Carter. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was also a very private, kind, passionate, and giving person. She loved her grandchildren deeply and spent her time focusing on them. Ann loved flowers, poetry writing, reading, quiet adventures and family time. She was also a very talented decorator. There will be is no visitation or service. Family members will be gathering for a private celebration. Memorial contributions to the NB Extra Mural Program, through York Funeral Home, would be very much appreciated by the family.
