Dear McLaughlin family: No doubt Mary enriched your lives. I am convinced that no one better than God, understands the depth of your pain and can help you cope with your disquieting thoughts. Weeping is normal, even the perfect man Jesus gave way to tears when his friend Lazarus died. Please believe the words of Psalm 34:18 “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Giving us a foregleam of Paradise, Jesus said in John 6:40 “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day.” Then, mankind will not be subject to criminals, violence, sickness, accidents, and death. (Psalm 37:29; Revelation 21:3, 4) May these few scriptures bring you emotional support.
