Obituary of Donald King
The passing of Donald Quentin King of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 24, 1961 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Daniel and Donna (Barton) King. He worked at Best Metals. Donald enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and loved to go for drives in the country.
In addition to his partner, Angie Bell, Donald is survived by his sons, Jonathan Sweeney of Newfoundland and Joshua Kennedy of Fredericton, NB; sister, Ginny Peterson (Donnie); brothers, Ronald Barton, Danny King (Cathy), Robin King (Maggie) and Dominic King (Sandy); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Charlie King.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be Benji, Bobby and Billy Doiron, Patrick King and Ian Brown. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
