Obituary of Sharon Clark
The passing of Sharon Adelaide Clark occurred Saturday, February 08, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB on September 14, 1945 and raised in McNamee. She returned to Fredericton after graduating from UMRHS in Boiestown in 1963, where she then went on to work with the Department of Lands and Mines, ADI Ltd. and retired in 2007 after 35 years as Administrative Assistant with the “J” Division RCMP HQ. Sharon was an active member of the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Nashwaaksis. She was a member of the NB RCMP Veterans Association, served on executive of Professional Secretaries Association, Nashwaaksis Figure Skating Club, Capital Credit Union Board, 3rd, Nashwaaksis Company Girl Guides, Parents Groups at Park Street and Nashwaaksis Junior High School, Come Home to the River-McNamee 2009 Committee. She also volunteered as Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator, Fulton Heights and Fredericton Community Kitchen. In 2002 received the Queen's Jubilee Medal.
Wife of Donald A Clark for 39 years. Daughter of the late Isabel and Willard Stewart. Besides her husband she is survived by her pride and joy Melissa Sullivan and special son-in-law Derek of Miramichi; precious, grandchildren, Daniel and Sara Sullivan of Miramichi; chosen daughter, Bonnie-Anne Forbes of Fredericton; special sister, Heather Johnston (John) of Fredericton; special brother, Gerald (Eva) Stewart of McNamee; special sisters-in-law, Joan Dunn (Warren) and Isabel Doherty both of Fredericton. Special nephews and nieces and their families, Stephen Stewart (Leanne) of Parksville, BC, Kenric Stewart (Melissa) of Oromocto, Katherine Peterson (Luke) of New Bandon, Jeremy Dunn of Fredericton as well as several great nieces and nephews; godchildren, Norma Lyons, Blair Brawn, Shelby Buckingham, Stephen and Ryan Stewart; aunt, Doris Stewart of Boiestown; special cousins Caroline Swazey (Jim) and Olga Ross of Boiestown, many other cousins; special friends, Yvonne Lyons, Sandra Lewis, Karen Miller, Heloise Watson, Linda Clowater, Joan Lourensse, Nancy McCarthy, Mary Wilson, Gloria White, Anne MacMullin and many cherished friends throughout the world. Predeceased by parents, brother Charles Stewart, neice Tina Buckingham and parents-in-law George and Grace Clark. Enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandchildren and get tog ethers with family and friends, taking day trips.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 75 Main Street, Fredericton, NB Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11am with Rev. Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Reception to follow at the Church. Interment will take place at St. James the Greater Anglican Cemetery, Ludlow, NB at a later date. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the St. John Evangelist Church Building Fund or the Chalmers Foundation – Oncology Unit. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
