Obituary of Darlene Lyons

Darlene Lynn Lyons, 55, of Fredericton, New Brunswick, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Allan Isaac Lyons; two sons, Christopher Allan (Katherine) of Beaverdam, NB and Jordan Alexander (Alissa) of Fredericton, NB; and her two year old granddaughter, ‘precious little Emma girl’; brother, William Horncastle of Fredericton, NB. Born on April 7, 1958 in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Darrell Clarkson Horncastle and B. Eleanor (Jackson) Horncastle. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB with Rev. Dr. Ross Hebb officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon at 1:30, before the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers for the service will be Art Dean, Kevin Jordan, Dave MacKinnon, Mike Frink, John Davis, Ed Topolski, Joe MacDonald and Chris McCoy. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
