Phil was an active member of the community, an avid UNB Hockey supporter, Fly Fisher, member of Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, patron and vendor at the Boyce Farmers Market and business man. His legacy is one of being a kind and good man who loved to talk to and help people. He was optimistic in light of serious life challenges and always found the best in people. He never had an unkind word about anyone and was a wonderful role model for all who knew him. He was a member of the RCMP Auxiliary, a Sales Rep for HJ Heinz for over 30 years and then as Co-Owner of Currie’s Greenhouses in Douglas. Phil would often be found at the Market on Saturday mornings spinning stories with the almost endless line of his friends who would drop by and discuss current events or fishing tales (with only small embellishments) or the latest hockey game. His ability to make people feel comfortable was a true gift. He epitomized the saying “A life well lived”. Phil will be missed greatly by all who knew him. No visitation.
