Obituary of Amy Denton

Denton, Amy Louise The passing of Amy Louise Denton of New Maryland, NB, wife of Lloyd Denton occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 18, 1950 in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Muriel (Jardine) McLean. Amy had a massive collection of teddy bears and had a room dedicated to them. Amy loved her precious dog Mindy, who she took with her everywhere she went. She enjoyed gardening and her beautiful flowers in bloom. Amy was an avid bingo player that never missed an opportunity to play. She also got great pleasure from spending her winter months in Florida, working with her horses and being with her special friend Joanne Wardlaw. A highlight for many years of Amy’s life was her horse, Woodmere Topcat. He brought her years of endless wins travelling on the racing circuit in Canada and the United States, which she enjoyed immensely. In the last few months Amy took great joy from playing endless hours of board games with her cherished grandson, Christopher. Amy took great pride in her home and the personal design she added to it. In addition to her husband, Amy is survived by her step daughter, Kim Denton Moore (Stephen) of Fredericton, NB; grandson, Christopher Moore; sister, Patricia Lewis (Robert) of Fredericton, NB; brother, Paul McLean of Florida, USA; godson, Steven Lewis (Stacy Coy) of Fredericton, NB; niece, Beth McLean of Vermont, USA; nephews, David Lewis and Andrew Lewis both of Fredericton, NB. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T.
