Obituary of Alice Gallagher

The passing of Alice “Allie” Gallagher, of Nashwaak Village, NB, wife of the late George Gallagher occurred on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Colford Senior Care Home. Born on March 3, 1934 in Upper Durham, NB, she was the daughter of the late George Bubar and Margaret (Whittie) Bubar. She loved to spend time with her family and was a great homemaker. Allie is survived by her daughter, Gail Martin (Fidelle); son, Roger Bubar (Gloria); grandchildren, Billy Joe McKay, Ashley Bowman (Rob), Andy McIssac, Natasha Rousselle, Karen Nickerson, Nora Munn, Ricky Munn and Mindy Snow; great granddaughter, Makayla; sisters, Austina Bubar (Ross) and Frances Degrace (Raymond); brother, Emerson Bubar (Charlotte); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her step father, Theodore Bubar; sisters, Thelma, Leona and Sharon. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 2 pm with Pastor Darren Munn officiating. Interment will take place at Zionville Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
