Obituary of Michael Patterson

After a courageous battle with cancer, the family of Mike, wish to announce the passing of Michael Shane Patterson of Nashwaak Village, NB, husband of Kim (Cote) Patterson on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 29, 1970 in London, ON, he was the son of William “Bill” and Diane (Gallant) Patterson. He worked as a truck driver at Irving Companies including, Sunbury, Midland and Irving Oil for 17 years. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, trips to the camp, most of all he loved his family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Mike is survived by his children, Jessica and Ryan Patterson; step children, Avery and Abbie Cote; sister, Krista Bailey (Darrell) of Fredericton, NB; brother, Anthony “Tony” (Jeannie) of Fredericton, NB; mother and father in law, Diane and James Fournier of Perth Andover, NB; sister in law, Tara Winzar (Derek) of Bathurst, NB; brother in law, Tony Fournier of Fredericton, NB and his faithful companion, Cole (dog). He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Eva (Trenholm) Gallant; paternal grandparents, William and Margaret (Estabrooks) Patterson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 5-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 2 pm with Canon John Cathcart officiating.
