Obituary of Evelyn Brewer

It is with sadden hearts, after a 10 year battle with cancer, the family wishes to announce the passing of Evelyn Marie Brewer of Keswick Ridge, NB, which occurred on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, with her girls by her side. Born on October 17, 1935 in Zealand, NB, she was a daughter of the late Hazen and Glenna (Estey) Brewer. Evelyn was affiliated with St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Zealand, NB. She worked at the Victoria Public Hospital and the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for 24 years, retiring in 1997. Evelyn was an avid bingo player, enjoyed gardening as well as the company of her love bird, Romeo. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Debbie Brewer (Terry Legere) of Port Elgin, NB, Kimberley Brewer (Harvey Morse) of Kingston, NS, Cassie Brawn (Rocky) of Douglas, NB, Crystal Gilmore (Vincent) of Keswick Ridge, NB and Shelley Randall of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Serena Wallace and Jennifer Poulos, Joanie Carson and Kathy Cochrane, Jonathan and Joshua Brawn, Kenneth Gilmore, Jonathan and Breanna Randall; six great grandchildren, Lucas and Jesse Leclair, Kayla and Chloe Carson, Isaac and Isabelle McLeod; sisters, Myrna Wilson of Nasonworth, NB and Marilyn McCarty (Bob) of Keswick Ridge, NB; brothers, Layne Brewer (Janet), Monty Brewer (Wanda) and Richard Brewer (Delores) all of Zealand, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her three infant children; great grandchild, Zackary Carson; sisters, Wanda Brewer, Norma Jean Brewer, Carolyn Brewer, Joyce Brewer and Thelma Kennard; brothers, Keith, Steadman, Carl, Randy, Gerald, Murray and Paul. There will be no visitation in keeping with Evelyn’s wishes. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 11 am with Archdeacon John T. Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery. The family wish to thank the Oncology Department of the Chalmers and the staff of 3SW for their care and compassion given to Evelyn.
