Obituary of Alberta Crouse

The passing of Alberta Vernita Crouse of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Halton Crouse occurred Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at her home. Born on February 27, 1922 in Tilley, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Zenobia (McLaughlin) Hanscomb. She was a Nursing Instructor at Saint John Regional Hospital. Alberta was a member of Grace Memorial Church. She enjoyed to read and also liked doing puzzles. Alberta is survived by her sons, Vernon Crouse and Franklin Crouse both of Fredericton, NB; sisters, Mary Pelrine and Norma Hanscomb-Wallace both of Aroostock, NB; brothers, Paul Hanscomb (Marie) of California Settlement, NB and James Hanscomb of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Winnifred Grant and brothers, Wilfred and Wilmot Hanscomb. A Memorial Service will take place at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Grace Memorial Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
