Obituary of Dorothy Scott

The death of Dorothy Madeline (Reynolds) Scott of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Earl Scott, occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 17, 1919 in Lower Hainesville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Allison and Violet (Moore) Reynolds. Dorothy is survived by her son, James (Carolyn) of Charlottetown, PEI; daughter, Heather (Steven Goddard) of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Gregory and Alison Scott and Sophie Goddard; two great grandchildren, Carter and Charlotte Scott; sisters, Joan Boldon (George) and Charlotte Lantz (Brodie); sisters in law, Jet Reynolds, Dorothy Reynolds, Janet Reynolds and Marjorie Scott; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Phillip and John and sister, Betty Leachman. Special thanks to Dot’s many friends and neighbours, numerous caregivers, Extra Mural staff, as well as the staff of Palliative Care of the DECRH for their care and support. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11 am with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
