Obituary of Earl Burke
The passing of Earl Murdock Burke, husband of Ruth (Munn) Burke of Fredericton, NB, formerly of Ludlow, NB occurred on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born in Ludlow, NB on March 6, 1937 he was a son of the late Joseph and Carrie (Pond) Burke. Earl loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed his outings to the wood lot to cut a load of wood. Earl was a pipefitter by trade and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78 in Boiestown, NB.
In addition to his wife of 43 years, Earl is survived by his daughter, Angela Burke of Fredericton, NB; two sisters, Helen Calhoun of Parkers Ridge, NB, Betty Morehouse of Doaktown, NB; two brothers, Walter (Lorna) of Ludlow, NB, Tom (Janet) of Fredericton, NB; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Isabel Jordan; and two brothers Allan and William.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78 will hold a Tribute Service beginning at 6:45 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Cole Price officiating. Interment will be at the McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery in Porter Cove, NB. There will be a reception at the McNamee Pentecostal Assembly following the service.
