Obituary of Everett Reicker

Everett Reicker passed away peacefully at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Born on April 24, 1922 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Farris and Minnie (Durost) Reicker. Everett loved gardening, photography, dancing and was an avid reader. As a skilled carpenter, he was always in demand. He travelled extensively later in life to places such as South America, Europe and the Far East. He loved the palace in St. Petersburg, Russia and often spoke of Singapore.
In addition to his wife, Vina Brennan; he is survived by his three children, Bonnie Reicker-Tice (Gerry Tice), Heather Ewald (Ross White) and Terry Reicker (Jenny); five grandchildren, Lindsay, Christopher, Danielle, Nicolas and Paige; step daughter, Cathy Vezina (Art); sister, Eileen Wetmore; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers, Marvin, Robert and Vernon. Everett lived a long life and remained strong, vibrant and social until recently, he still ice skated at the age of 88.
A Graveside Service will take place at Narrows United Church Cemetery, Cambridge Narrows, NB on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Jane Johnson officiating, followed by a reception at the Municipal Building. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
