Obituary of Eric Arseneault

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Eric Joseph Arseneault. Eric passed away at the hospital on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at the age of 60. He was born in Chatham, NB on February 19, 1953 to the late Frank and Alfreda Arseneault and was predeceased by his brother, Jean-Paul. After growing up in Newcastle, Eric spent much of his life in the construction industry working in many sites throughout Canada during which time he lived a number of years in Calgary, AB and Westport, ON. Eric is survived by his common law wife, Sandra Johnston; his son, Derek Arseneault; step children, Troy, Sheri and Lisa Hill; sisters, Irene Cook, Agnes (Jim) Taylor, Diane (Bob Earl) Arseneault and Alma (Maurice) Sauvé; brothers, Vincent (Theresa) Arseneault, Ronnie (Lori Harrison) Arseneault and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Private Interment will take place at Hermitage Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice. A special thank you is extended staff and nurses at DECRH and Windsor Court.
