Obituary of Audrey Jordan

The passing of Audrey Celia Jordan (Timms) of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at York Care Centre. Born on August 15, 1921 in Salamanca, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Briggs) Timms. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Anglican Church and the ACW. Audrey was also a member of the Johnson Avenue Seniors Centre and Johnson Avenue 55 Plus Club for over 28 years; she belonged to the Red Hatters. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, reading and crossword puzzles. Audrey is survived by her daughters, Judy (McArthur) Finnamore (Richard) and Jeryl Anne (McArthur) MacDonald (David); son, Robin McArthur (Becky); daughter in law, Carol McArthur; step daughter, Cynthia Henry (Gordon); grandchildren, Brent, Trent and Richard McArthur, Christopher Finnamore, Catrina (Finnamore) Marshall, Sheldon MacDonald, Tobie (MacDonald) Peabody, Stacey Jordan, John Jordan, Tracey Harper, Teryl McArthur, Charity, Samantha and Michelle; several great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie (Timms) Amos of Sudbury, ON, Mildred (Timms) Kikkert of PEI and Christine (Timms) McCaffrey of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Sheldon McArthur; second husband, Hazen Jordan; son, Gary McArthur; daughter, June McArthur; sisters, Doris (Jukes) O’Hara and Irma (Timms) Brown; brothers, Ernest and Ronald Timms. She was post deceased by her son, Richard McArthur (September 11, 2013). There will be no visitation at Audrey’s request. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Road on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11 am with Canon Elaine Hamilton officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery. Audrey’s family would like to thank the loving staff at York Care Centre – Dixon Lodge for their compassionate care.
