The passing of Eldon Harold Tabor Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Inez (Barnett) Tabor, occurred on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 12, 1925 in St. Martins, NB, he was the son of the late Clarence and Arvilla (Bradshaw) Tabor. Eldon was a self employed saw filer. He enjoyed competing in woodsmen competitions around the province and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Eldon is survived by his son, Clarence Tabor (Rhonda); six grandchildren, Craig and Luke Tabor, Autumn, Sarah, Erin and Eldon Kervin-Tabor; great grandchild, Helena Rose Kervin-Tabor; brother, Lewis Tabor; special friend, Hester Hobday.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Dave Hardy officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
