The passing of Daphna Eileen (Walton) Forbes, of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Ralph Leroy Forbes, occurred on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 3, 1929 in Port Elgin, NB, she was a daughter of the late Emerson and Gladys (Pauley) Walton. She was a homemaker, and a hockey mom.
Daphna is survived by her children, Larry (Elaine) Forbes of Winnipeg, MB, Alex (Louise) Forbes of South Mountain, ON, Cherlynn Forbes of Fredericton, NB and Cindy Forbes of Camrose, AB; 10 grandchildren, Jody, Larry, Jason, Todd, Shawn and Karen Forbes, Nathan and Ryan Kelly, Stacy Siminick and Cody Scheuerman; 14 great grandchildren, Joseph, Brooklyn, Luke, Jessie, Sammy, Katie, Shea and Rhett Forbes, Brady, Owen and Emerson Kelly, Carter McMahon, Lauren and Matty Siminick; brother, Albert Walton (Kay) of ON. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Tom, Harold and Everett Walton.
A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
