Obituary of Guy Bechtelheimer

The passing of Guy Wayne “G.W.” Bechtelheimer of Fredericton, NB (known as “Wayne” by his American family) occurred on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 30, 1965 in Lakeland, FL and raised in Fort Worth, TX, he was the son of the late Alan and Kathleen (O’Quin) Bechtelheimer. He was a devoted soul-mate to his wife, Martina Bechtelheimer and step-father to Marissa Nicole Paul; his love for them knew no limits. His two girls were his greatest pride. Affectionately nicknamed G.W. by his Canadian family, he was a trained chef, talented singer and trivia master who loved sharing his knowledge on many subjects. In addition to his wife and step-daughter, G.W. is survived by his sisters, Delana Darlin (Billy Wayne) and Alatha (Greg) Currier; brother, Howard Helveston (Arthur King); nephew, Christopher (Renee) Hayes; great-nephews, Vaughn and Brick Hayes and a large extended family including half-siblings; nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of his life with family and friends at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
