Obituary of Hannah White

Hannah White, 87, of Marysville, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Aughacommon, Lurgan, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland in 1925, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret (McKeown) MacBurney. Hannah immigrated to Canada on October 6, 1948, staying with her mother’s brother, Bill McKeown and family in Marysville, NB, where she found employment at the Cotton Mill and met her husband, Bob White. They married on October 6, 1950 and she became a Canadian citizen in 1952. Hannah is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Bill (Barb Murray) of Fredericton, NB and Kevin (Wanita) of Edmonton, AB; grandsons, Andrew White of Fredericton, NB, Jeremy White of Winnipeg, MB and Patrick White of Edmonton, AB; great grandchildren whom she adored, Daynah and Calum of Winnipeg, MB; siblings, George of Dungiven, NI, Bill, Sam and Margaret all of Toronto, ON. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, David, Edward, Annabel and Robert; infant granddaughter, Chelsea. There will be no visitation in keeping with her wishes. A Private Family Service will be held from Crosspoint Church on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 with Pastor Kathy Shanks officiating. Interment will take place in the Olivet Wesleyan Cemetery.
