Obituary of Alice Thurnheer

The passing of Alice Margaret (Jordan) Thurnheer of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Jack Thurnheer, occurred on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 14, 1923 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Merritt and Mary Emma (Bonnar) Jordan. Alice retired after 15 years of care giving to babies in the Nursery at the Northside Daycare. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Anglican Church. She enjoyed the fellowship at the Tuesday Morning Coffee Club. Alice was a resident at Risteen’s Landing and especially enjoyed the activities and friendship of the other residents. Alice is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Pellow of Fredericton, NB; two sons, Lloyd Boone (Ellen) of Hamilton, ON, Richardo Thurnheer (Ruth) of Fredericton, NB; 5 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Ethel McQuinn of Fredericton, NB and Josephine Rosskogler (Matt) of Creston, BC; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, William Boone; sister, Edith Currie; son in law Jim Pellow and great-grandchild, Alex Duguay. Visitation will take place at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Road on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 2 pm with Priest-In-Charge, Rev. Canon Elaine Hamilton officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the St. Margaret’s Anglican Church or Canadian Diabetes Association.
