Obituary of William Mulder

The passing of William “Bill” Henry Mulder of Maugerville, NB, husband of Heather Mulder, occurred on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on July 8, 1936 in Deventer, Holland, he was a son of the late Johannes and Everdina (BoerKamp) Mulder. Bill truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. He was the owner/operator of William Mulder Meats and loved working as a livestock dealer. He was a cornerstone of the Boyce Farmers Market for over 50 years and was an outgoing member of the community at the market. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughters, Pam Cogswell and Alana Gorman (Ross) all of Fredericton, NB; chosen son, Tony Rickard (Roxanne); special mother in law, Annie Hargrove; grandchildren, Josh, Zachary and Daniel; siblings, Toni (Miep), Nick (Claudet), Joe (Richard), Teddy (Carol), Gerry (Carolyn) and Anne Marie (Doug; several nices and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, John. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11 am with Father Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Fraser and the nursing staff of Oromocto Public Hospital.
