Obituary of Peg Munn

The passing of Madeline “Peg” Lorena Munn of Bloomfield Ridge, NB, wife of the late James Munn, occurred on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Oromocto Public Hospital.  Born on January 13, 1932 in Bloomfield Ridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lorne and Ellen (Green) Calhoun. Peg was known for her cooking. She also enjoyed writing poetry, knitting and baking. Peg was a faithful member of her church, Boiestown United Pentecostal and later Gateway of Hope Assembly.

Peg is survived by her son, Kirk Munn (Shelley Carson); grandchildren, Nicholas Munn (Heather), Deanna Munn (Mike McAleer), Mandy Gould (Ben), Kalin McCluskey( Michael Read); great-grandchildren, Olivia Munn (Denver Brown), Cohl Gould, Chase Gould, Kylie Munn, Griffin Munn, Gaberriel Read; brother, Darrell Calhoun (Josephine); sister, Sylvia Price (Vaughn); sisters-in-law, Carol Calhoun, Maryanne White, Beatrice Boies and Hazel Hiscock

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Della MacLeod (Harry), Kent Calhoun; brother-in-law, Dale MacKay.

Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. Visitation will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly, 35 Company Road, Boiestown on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 12:30-2pm and will be followed directly by a Funeral Service at 2 pm. Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville, at a later date.
