My sincere condolences to Phil's large and loving family- grand & great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. I have not met many of you , but I always heard updates from Phil about each and every one of you. I know he loved cooking big dinners for his family. The more the merrier. He was so obviously proud of you all and you all brought him such joy. I enjoyed connecting with Phil and hearing his stories. Not many people could tell a story like Phil. He graced us all with his wit and humour. I personally loved his stories about playing practical jokes.
He spent many hours with my dad, Arnie McAllister, both on and off the golf course and at the rink cheering on the UNB hockey team. I'm sure Dad has saved a seat for Phil to continue watching the games.
I will always remember how patient and caring he was with my sons, both of whom are autistic. Zan loved the time Phil put him in the driver's seat of one of his big rigs and then made sure he had a baseball cap to top off the experience. He will be greatly missed. I know I am missing him right now. The world seemed kinder with Phil in it. He was a positive , compassionate, and kind soul, with wisdom that only comes from navigating a full life that threw him more than a few curveballs. He touched many while sharing his joy for life. Above all, Phil was authentic. A rare gem. Thank you for sharing him with us. Kristie McAllister, Jack , Zan and Dylan Knox.

Phil was a gentle leader who was there for people who needed support. He would gather his friends together to fund raise and give support. He was wise about how the world works.
He was a wonderful friend to our family and we all loved him. Kris, Andrew and I send our deepest condolences to all in your family. And to our sister who lost her best friend ever.

Gary and i had the pleasure of meeting the big guy through his great friend John Brown at the UNB MENS hockey games. It didnt take very long for Phil to become a friend. Up the stairs at the Aitken center we would go to exchange some candy before the game, like Phil the stairs were a challenge, if only we knew what health would have instore for us but you dont want to give up those lucky seats that you have sat in all those years. We will miss the "coaches corner" at UNB but the most we will miss is our friend with the big smile Phil. We hope he will be watching and coaching from above to help UNB get another university cup. Lets get it for Phil UNB. Till we meet again Phil ! It was a pleasure for to meet you and become friends. Your family and friends will miss you.

My dearest friend we shared over half a century of memories. We spent hours on the phone with laughs and tears and love.
How do I choose one memory to share?
You were loyal, loving, and kind. You were my Dad’s Best Friend. I can not fill the space you have left.
Rest in Peace
I hope the card tables were set up inside the Pearly Gates.

I had the pleasure to know Phil from my many visits to my daughter and her family on Barton Cres. I would not be there very long before this kind gentleman would arrive with a bottle or two of wine. We shared many a story and laugh. The next morning he’d be up and gone to the City Club to cook for some event.
To all his family and friends, may your memories give you comfort today and in the days ahead.
Rest peacefully Phil my friend, I’ll have a drink of scotch for you on Saturday.

Dear Pete, Lisa and families
It was with great sadness that we heard of Phil's passing. He made many dinners, over the years, that my husband and I were part of. Phil, as everyone knows, loved to cook and entertain and he was a master. We will miss him for his gentle, kind and charming presence. RIP our dear friend and Huge Hugs(from B)!!

To the Jensen family.
Very sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. We stayed in touch over the years from time to time but I hadn’t heard from him in the last short while and I didn’t realize that his heath had taken a turn for the worse. I started working with Phil at Newfoundland Mack back in 1983 and we spent time fishing, hunting, and on ATV’s over the years. Sorry I can’t make a visit to the City Club like I did with you many times over the years. You will certainly be missed Phil and I’ll have a Scotch and water for you soon.
RIP Sir

We knew Phil through Kippy and thought of him as our friend “up North.” When Phil came to dinner, he filled the room with warmth and humor. We admired his love of family and life and of course, his politics. Please accept our condolences, Earle and Kay Meyers
