Obituary of Judith Dianne Irvine

Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Judith (Judy) Diane Irvine nee Coburn passed away on Dec. 27, 2024. She was born in Manner's Sutton on Sept. 2, 1944 to Bradshaw and Sarah Coburn. She spent her childhood in Harvey, NB and her later years in Fredericton and Davidson Lake. Many happy years were spent at the lake with her husband Arthur R. Irvine, where they made many life long friends. They also spent many winters in Zephyrhills, Florida where they became Snowbirds and made so many warm memories and enjoyed spending time with many friends from various locations.

Judy worked at Kmart for many years and made friends with many of her coworkers, that's the way it was, if you knew Judy, you became her friend. She had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. She loved all her pets that she had over the years and when she had to leave Minnie to go into York Care, it nearly broke her heart. She had many heartbreaks over the years but none were more heartbreaking than the passing of her two children.

Besides her parents, Judy was predeceased by her husband Arthur R. Irvine Sr.; daughter, Bethany McQuinn; her son, Arthur R. Irvine Jr.; infant brother, Ronald Coburn; and her brother in-law, Art McFarlane.

She is survived by sisters, Elaine McFarlane, Donna (Gordon) Feeney and Debbie Stairs (Stephen); brother, Tom Coburn (Cheryl); son in-law, Richard McQuinn; daughter in-law, Ivy Irvine; sister in-law, Linda (John) Bamford; brother in-law, Bill Irvine; as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Special niece Kim and her husband Jack Buckley and sons Calvin and Garrett will miss her immensely as she was such a large part of their life for so many years.

The family wishes to thank the staff at York Care as they treated Judy with love and respect over these past several years that she was in their care and made it a home away from home for her. They also gave her top notch care right up until the end.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at York Care Centre's Friendship Centre, 100 Sunset Drive, Fredericton, NB at 2 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation made to your local SPCA in her name would make her smile. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
