Obituary of Broderick Charles LeBlanc

Please share a memory of Broderick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

When the shadows of this life have grown

I'll fly away

Like a bird from prison bars has flown

I’ll fly away

It is with regrets and heartbreak that the family of Broderick (Brody) Charles LeBlanc announce his passing in the early morning hours of December 9th, 2024. Brody’s passing has taken our breath away. We are comforted by the knowledge that he went to sleep and quietly left us.

He is finally at rest. Brody was born on April 26th, 1991. He entered this world smoking a cigar and demanding that the temperature in the room be raised! Brody will be remembered for his gifted photography, bright philosophical mind and loving soul. He had a way with words and an eye that captured the often unseen, overlooked, and hard details of life. Brody felt deeply, loved hard and was a fighter right up until the end.

He will be missed by his father, Richard LeBlanc (Janice Price) and mother, Carolee Pond, his siblings, Jordan LeBlanc (Jenn LeBlanc), Andrew LeBlanc (Anne Stillwell-LeBLanc), Cassandra LeBlanc (David Greene), Jake LeBlanc, and Ethan LeBlanc. He is survived by his grandmother, Wilda Pond, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Notably, also, his nephew, Levi.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph LeBlanc, grandmother, Iris LeBlanc, and his grandfather and namesake, Charles (Bud) Frederick Pond. Sadly, Brody was also predeceased by his partner, Kyla LaPointe. We are wanting to honor the birth of their daughter, Harmony, and are very grateful she and her half sisters are lovingly adopted by family.

The Celebration of life will be held from 1 - 4 pm, Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at Crosspoint Wesleyan Church, 4 Coronation Court. We will gather around 1 pm. There will be a very informal sharing time. Please come as you are at any time that works for you. A lunch and time to speak to the family will be held after. The family requests, please, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Supporting Harmony's Future as Brody's Legacy or to the Fredericton Community Kitchens in honour of Brody’s life.
