Obituary of Allison Neil MacPherson

Please share a memory of Allison to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with sorrow that we announce the death of Allison "Al" Neil MacPherson, husband of Myrna (O'Brien) MacPherson, on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB.  Al was born September 6, 1953, the son of the late Joan (O’Donnell) and Walter "Bud" MacPherson.

Al graduated from Fredericton High School in 1970. For over 30 years, he was a school bus driver in the Anglophone West district. When he was younger, he loved to play baseball and softball. And until his health made it impossible, he truly loved riding his motorcycle.

Besides his wife, Myrna, Al is survived by his daughter, Abbie MacPherson; step-son, Chris (Emily) Day, and step-daughter, Isabelle (Seth) Ashfield; his brothers, Ian (Renée) and Lee (the late Dianna) MacPherson, and several nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donna Richard (the late Ivan O’Brien), Barb (the late Francis O’Brien), Jack O’Brien (the late Yvonne), Russell (Jane) O’Brien, Norbert (Judy) O’Brien, Garth (Fay) O’Brien.

To honor Allison, a gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB from 2 - 4 pm. Donations in memory of Allison can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
