The passing of Beatrice “Betty” Aleph McCullough (Whynot) of Fredericton, NB, wife of Arnold Joseph McCullough, occurred on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Shannex, Medley Hall, Fredericton, NB. Born on July 6, 1944 in Stanburne, NS, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Dimmel) Whynot.

In addition to her loving husband of 60 years, Betty is survived by her son, Craig McCullough (Tanya) of Halifax; daughter-in-law, Roxanne McCullough (late Neil) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Morgan Porter (Aaron), Nicholas McCullough of Fredericton, Allie Nielsen (Ryan), Kyle McCullough of Halifax; great-grandsons, Eli and Rowan; brother, Alton Whynot (Susan); sisters-in-law, Shirley Whynot and Nora Whynot and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Betty is predeceased by her son, Neil McCullough; brothers, Ronald Whynot and Vernon Whynot.

Betty was a kind, good natured soul that could put a smile on anyone's face even to her final days. She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Betty's passions in life included singing and painting. She was an avid artist who loved to share her passion of painting with others through teaching classes and seminars in Fredericton and throughout the maritimes. This was known as Happy Heart Creations.

Betty loved to share her joy of singing with her husband Arnold. Together they spent many hours in brightening the days of others by singing at nursing homes, churches and various special events.
