Obituary of Carolyn Roberta Miner

Please share a memory of Carolyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Born in Boiestown on October 22, 1947 to proud parents, Perry and Mary Francis (Rice) Miner.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family whenever and wherever she could, even travelling to British Columbia and back when she was younger, Cape Breton, and other places in between.

Her enormous heart was always sharing and giving whatever she could to whoever needed a helping hand. She always thought it better to give than to receive.

She loved gardening and all the animals that came into the yard. Her, and her mother were known to feed the animals by hand from the kitchen window.

Carolyn was a crafter. She did needlepoint, made quilts, and gifted many to family members over the years. She was tickled to find out a pair of her home knit slippers had been entered into the Stanley fair this year and she'd won 1st place.

Most of her life was dedicated to caring for the elderly at the Farralane House in Fredericton. She was also a strong supporter of St. Peter's Anglican Church in Boiestown and her tremendous faith in her Saviour Jesus Christ was what kept her headed toward home.

The last few years she lived with a great want to return home to Christ, her mother, father, and beloved baby brother, Gary, who predeceased her. She would also be surely reunited with her cats, Tasha and Thomas.

She enjoyed and appreciated the time, care, and company from all the "girls" she called them, her home support workers from Stanley Outreach, she was very grateful for her care while at the Stanley Villa as well, but one day she got a call she was hoping for, she was able to move back home to Boiestown into the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home. She knew she was closer to going home to her family.

She was very thankful to have gotten home to see so many familiar people, and it made her more comfortable at nights. She died peacefully in her sleep, October 30th 2024.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. A Gravesidel Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Boiestown, NB at 11 am with Father Neil Osiowy officiating.
