Obituary of Cornelius Vrolyk

The passing of Cornelius Vrolyk, husband of the late Anna (Spencer) Vrolyk of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 1, 1928 in Haarlem, Holland, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Alice (Nederpelt) Vrolyk. Before retirement, he was a chef. He enjoyed getting outdoors to garden and go for walks when he was able.

Cornelius is survived by his son, Brian Vrolyk (Tanya); daughters, Norma Jean O'Neill (Dale), Katie Stephenson, Ria Ten Napel (Cor); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Staan Warren; brother, Hank Vrolyk; brothers-in-law, Cor Vanbilderbeek and Hank Brandt.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. At Cornelius’ request, there will be no public services. A Private Family Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
