Michael Charles Fagan passed away after a brief illness on October 15, 2024. He was 76 years old.

Born and raised in Sydney, he worked at Sydney steel before doing many other jobs from Cape Breton, Halifax, and Saint Catherines, Ontario.

Mike graduated from Dalhousie University but found his calling at “Eastern Tech” where he studied electrical engineering. His studies led him to work at NB Power for 28 years. He retired more than 20 years ago allowing him to spend more time with family.

Mike and Rosalind, together for many years, married 18 years ago. They built a life for themselves in Marysville for the past 25 years and loved their home and neighborhood.

Mike was a wonderful, loving and caring husband. He was an amazing Dad. He loved his grandchildren beyond measure. Mike was a loving brother, uncle, friend and neighbour.

He loved music, nature, tinkering with projects and helping others figuring out what to do for theirs. Always a true Cape Bretoner at heart.

Mike is predeceased by Father Michael Joseph Fagan mother Helen Lena Fagan, brother Keith and Parents-in - Law Ross and Noreen MacQueen.

Mike is survived his wife Rosalind. Stepchildren Robert Mackillop (Krista), Sherisse Collins (Mac Foster), Michael Penney (Katie). Brother-in law Philip MacQueen (Mary Ann), brother Jim (Mary Jane). Grand children David Redman and Claire Mackillop. Nephew Josh and niece Kate Fagan.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2 pm with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnapan officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Special Olympics of New Brunswick.
