Obituary of Allain Elzear Levesque

Levesque, Allain

 

It is with great sadness, the family of Allain Levesque announce his passing on October 6, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on January 31, 1954 in Grand Falls, NB, he was the son of the late Thérèse (Guimont) and Albert J. Levesque.

 

Allain is survived by his wife, Barbara Craig of Fredericton; daughter, Kelcie Levesque of Moncton; sister, Gisele Levesque of Sussex; brother, John Levesque (Sharon) of Fredericton; life long friend, Yvon Michaud (Isabelle Côté) of Whitehorse, YT; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, George Levesque (Rita).

 

Allain graduated from the Maritime Forest Ranger School, and worked as a Forest Technician in Canada and the northern states of the U.S. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, cooking, and watching his favourite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Allain loved spending time at the family cottage at Grand Lake and being with his fur grand daughter, Neeka. He was an enthusiastic supporter of his daughter Kelcie’s volleyball and soccer teams, travelling to her games all over Canada. He was extremely proud of her accomplishments and her career in the RCMP.

 

Barb and Kelcie would like to extend thanks to all the staff at the DECH, the Palliative Care Team and the Extramural healthcare providers, who showed compassion and assisted Allain throughout this difficult year. He appreciated their help and enjoyed telling them stories and adding humour to their day.

 

There will be no services as per Allain's request. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com. Planting a tree is recommended as a tribute to Allain’s profession and love for the outdoors, or donations may  be made to the Fredericton SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society in Allain’s memory.
