Please share a memory of Glynn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Glynn Murray Salter, beloved husband and best friend to Marie (Black) Salter, announces his passing which occurred on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Hospice House Fredericton.

Glynn was born in Hantsport, Nova Scotia, on October 28, 1934, the son of the late Willam Salter and Pauline (Dill) Faulkner.

In addition to his parents and stepfather, Everett Faulkner, Glynn was predeceased by his sister, Maxine Tucker; brother, Carl Salter, brother-in-law, Laurie Black; nephews, Michael Tucker and David Salter.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Ken Salter, Rick (Joan) Salter, Heather (Peppi) Sylvester and Lori (Jim) Mersereau; grandchildren, Lindsay (Justin) Dow, Michael (Melanie) Mersereau, Chris Sylvester, Jennifer (Steven) Hoffner, Morgan (Becca) Langille, Ryan, Aaron, Taylor, and Autumn Salter; great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Everly, Mackenley and Ethan; brother, Barrie (Rita) Salter; as well as many wonderful friends, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Glynn was a dedicated and hardworking individual who took great pride in his 44-year career with Cummins Diesel, working in both Nova Scotia and Ontario before settling in Fredericton, NB to continue his career and raise his family. After retirement, he and Marie owned and managed apartment buildings. He was an active member of several organizations, including the Capital Winter Club, Fredericton Golf and Country Club, Fredericton Model Railway Club and The Golden Club. He also served on the executive committee of the Perfect Circle Chapter, was a Iife member of Canadian Professional Sales Association and a member of the Independent Order of Foresters

Glynn had a passion for life; enjoying travels with Marie, they frequently travelled to the southern United States, during their snowbird years. He found joy in bowling, attending model train shows, fishing, and embracing new technology. Above all, Glynn valued time spent with family and friends, creating lasting friendships throughout his Ife.

The family would Iike to extend their deep appreciation to Dr. Barton, and Dr. Hickey. As well as the exceptional care he received by Dr. Myles, Dr. Bea Sainz and the nurses while in Hospice Care.

Thank you to Rev. Kevin Culberson, Rev. Jim Bae and Rev Dr. Peter Lohnes for their care and kindness.
