Danielle Pierrette Cassista 

The passing of Danielle Pierrette Cassista of Fredericton, NB, wife of Donald “Bab” Cassista, occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 6, 1962 in Grand Falls, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Gemma (Gagnon) Poitras.

She was a federal government employee with the Canadian Border services agency and finished her career with the service Canada department in Fredericton. She was artistic and empowered by nature and the beauty of all four seasons.    

In addition to her husband, Danielle is survived by her sons, Deny Cassista (Monica) and Eric Cassista (Sarah); grandchildren, Jasmine, Sophia, Isabella and Olivia; 5 sisters; 3 brothers; and many nieces and nephews too many to mention but still very loved.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 11-2 pm; followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Father Peter Osborne officiating.  Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
