Margaret Ann McCann

 The passing of Margaret Ann McCann of Douglas, NB, occurred on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Hospice Fredericton after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  Born on April 13, 1958 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gregory and Josephine (Shields) McCann.  It gives us such great comfort knowing that she finally has been reunited with her parents who she missed terribly.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Helena McCann (Anthony); grandchildren, Jordis and Jessie Wilson; siblings, William McCann (Karen), Jack McCann, Ellen Dunphy (Brent) and Lorne McCann; nieces, Jessica, Karah and Grace; and Aunt, Laverne Doak (Dick).

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa's Parish, 1 William Street, Fredericton, NB on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 3 pm with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan and Father John Jennings as celebrants.  Interment will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Robyn Stephens West, Wilma Maunder, Jim Brewster, Debbie Edmondson, David DuPlessis and Eddie Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bonnie King, Bev Bolton and Debbie Thomas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Fredericton (Palliative Care Resource Network Inc.) or to the MS Society.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
